An extra ordinary meeting of the above Council was held on Friday 11th August 2023, at the Town Hall commencing at 7.00pm.

REQUESTS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
4.8.23 WPFA on behalf of WEC and other village organisations involved in the Wickwar Games 2023
The Wickwar Games will this year be held in September and include a produce show and beer and cider festival in the evening. Several village groups have come together to organise this.
Wickwar Playing Fields Association have requested a grant of £550 to print the event programme which will include entry forms for the fun run and produce show. Councillors were keen to support this event and it was proposed, seconded and AGREED to give a grant of £550 to WPFA.
To enable the beer and cider festival in the evening Wickwar Entertainment Committee have requested funding of £250 towards the cost of Portaloos. Again, Councillors were keen to support and it was proposed, seconded and AGREED to give a grant of £250 to WEC.
