STAFFING COMMITTEE AGENDA
Members of the Staffing Committee are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of the Staffing Committee to be held
at: 6.00pm
on: 17th August 2021
at: Wickwar Town Hall.
The public are welcome to attend the meeting. However, as item 4 onwards will consider matters related to the employment of staff, a resolution to exclude the press and public may be required under the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 and the LGA 1972, s100.
1. To RECEIVE apologies for absence.
2. To AGREE whether the minutes of the Staffing Committee meeting held on 31st January 2020 should be signed as an accurate record of the meeting (circulated)
3. To determine which items, if any, of the Agenda should be taken with the public excluded.
As the following items will consider matters related to the employment of staff a resolution to exclude the press and public may be required, under the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 and the LGA 1972, s100.
4. Appraisals – To RECEIVE and APPROVE the Clerk’s appraisal (dated 28th April 2021) for 2020/21 and objectives for 2021/22 (circulated)
5. To CONSIDER and APPROVE the following changes to the Clerk’s contract:
-Increase in hours to be made permanent (13.1)
– Leave increased to 22 days pro rata plus two extra statutory days in line with the Local Government Pay Deal effective from April 2020 (15.1).
6. Pay review – To CONSIDER and APPROVE the Clerk’s annual pay award backdated to 1st May 2021 (see appraisal, circulated)
7. Pension provision – To CONSIDER information provided from the Local Government Pension Scheme and AGREE a recommendation to full Council about joining the scheme and inviting eligible employees to join (switching from the current provider) – (circulated)
