Temporary road closures – Summer 2022

South Gloucestershire’s Streetcare department have released information on road closures this summer;

There will be several temporary closures taking place in July and August lasting from a few days to a couple of months.

Many of these roads in question are residential through routes so the closures are in the summer months to minimise disruption to the travelling public. Much of this work is being carried out by utility companies, rather than South Gloucestershire Council.

This is for South Glos council to safely carry out their summer programme of litter picking, mowing and gully cleansing. The work is due to start on 20 July and will be carried out between 9.30am and 3.30pm to avoid peak traffic periods.

Works will be staring at the Marsham Lane roundabout then moving along the Ring Road. The work is scheduled to finish at the Abbeywood roundabout by the end of the month.
