At its January meeting, Wickwar Parish Council agreed its annual budget and set the precept for 2022-23 at £54,960. This represents a 0% increase per household. The precept is a local tax raised by the Parish Council and collected via the Council Tax, and paid to us by South Gloucestershire Council. It covers local services like maintaining and improving the playing fields and providing and emptying litter bins.
This year we have made additional funding available through our small community grants scheme, to support local groups organising events for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. Look out for details in the Parish News and on the website, or contact the Clerk for more information.
