CANCELLED AS INQUORATE – STAFF COMMITTEE AGENDA

 Members of the Staff Committee are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of the Staff Committee to be held

at: 7.00pm

on: 13th January 2022

at: Wickwar Town Hall.

The public are welcome to attend the meeting. However, as item 4 onwards will consider matters related to the employment of staff, a resolution to exclude the press and public may be required under the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 and the LGA 1972, s100.

Covid-19 Safety measures for members of the public

If you would like to attend, please contact the Clerk (by email or text) at least 24 hours before the start of the meeting. This will allow us to manage numbers safely

Please do not attend if:

  • you have symptoms of Covid-19;
  • you have tested positive for Covid-19 within the last 7 days/ are awaiting the results of a test.

Please wear a mask (it is a legal requirement) and maintain social distance inside the meeting room.

1. To RECEIVE apologies for absence.

2. To AGREE whether the minutes of the Staffing Committee meeting held on 17th August 2021 should be signed as an accurate record of the meeting (circulated).

3. To determine which items, if any, of the Agenda should be taken with the public excluded.

As the following items will consider matters related to the employment of staff a resolution to exclude the press and public may be required, under the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 and the LGA 1972, s100.

4. To RECOMMEND the appointment to the position of Clerk to Wickwar Parish Council (Proper Officer and Responsible Financial Officer).

5. To APRROVE the contract for the position of Clerk to Wickwar Parish Council. (Circulated).

6. To CONSIDER and AGREE the arrangements for the handover between the outgoing Clerk and the new appointee.

7. To APPOINT a locum Clerk for up to two months if required (funding to be approved by Full Council at its meeting on 12th January 2022) and AGREE hours, terms and conditions and payment method.

8. To RECOMMEND that the back-dated National Joint Council for Local Government Services (NJC) national salary award pay increase for 2021/22 be paid to the outgoing Clerk once it has been agreed.
