The role of the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) is to review,
improve and scrutinise policing practices. To help them do this, they
work with local people as volunteers.
This means they can get their independent views and feedback
on a range of policing issues. They do this through participation
in one of four areas, looking at different aspects of police work.
They are looking for people of all backgrounds, ages, and experience
across the Avon and Somerset area to volunteer with them and act as
independent parties. They particularly encourage applications from
people under 30, women and people from Black, Asian, mixed and
minoritised communities
