Wickwar Celebration & Remembrance Weekend: Churchyard Clearing – Saturday 7th November 9:00am-12:00pm

This year’s Remembrance Sunday is on 8th November 2020 and the village traditionally makes a big effort on the preceding Saturday morning to clear the Stank and tidy the churchyard, cutting back low branches, removing leaves, weeding and sweeping the paths where necessary, particularly around the access to the church and the war memorial – grass cutting is routinely done by the Council.

So, any assistance in making that possible on Saturday 7th November from 09:00am onwards would be greatly appreciated; if we get the numbers we should finish by midday at the very latest!

The Church would normally provide hot and cold refreshments but as you will appreciate, that would be very difficult to achieve safely in the current circumstances, so do please bring your own water bottles/thermos flasks and snacks etc. As well as any suitable garden tools – rakes, hoes, wheelbarrows, leaf blowers etc..

If you can spare an hour or two to assist we look forward to seeing you there.

Thank you in anticipation for any support you can provide on the day.
