Use of Wickwar playing fields and play area during lockdown – Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December

As of today, England is again under lockdown.

When we reduce our day-to-day contact with other people, we reduce the spread of the infection. That is why, from Thursday 5 November until Wednesday 2 December, you must:

  1. Stay at home, except for specific purposes.
  2. Avoid meeting people you do not live with, except for specific purposes.
  3. Close certain businesses and venues.

The King George V playing field, and the play area next to the pavilion remain open for all to enjoy. Wickwar Cemetery also remains open to the public. However, you must follow the government rules for exercising or visiting outdoor public spaces.

You can exercise or visit outdoor public places with:

  • the people you live with

  • your support bubble

  • or, when on your own, 1 person from another household. (Children under 5, as well as disabled people dependent on round-the-clock care are not counted towards the limit on two people meeting outside.)

Please remember that the equipment in the play area is not sanitised and is used at your own risk. Please follow the hygiene and safety  rules posted around the play area – keep 2 metres apart, wash hands, use hand sanitiser, no food or drink in the play area.

Stay safe.
