Wickwar Parish Council – benches survey (closing date 2nd April 2021)

With more and more of us enjoying walks around the village, the Parish Council would like to provide residents with opportunities to stop off, sit for a while and enjoy the surroundings. Recently we have installed two new benches on Parish Council-managed land. The new benches are made from recycled plastic, which has the appearance of wood, but is durable and virtually maintenance-free. The first is in the far corner of the King George V Playing Field and the second is in the Wickwar Cemetery.

We have purchased a further four benches to be placed around the village. The benches have been purchased using CIL (Community Infrastructure Levy) funding for village infrastructure improvements, from the Tyndale Reach Estate.

We would like to know what you think about the proposed locations for the benches, and where else you might like to see benches installed in the village. Please complete this short survey online by 2nd April 2021, to tell us what you think.

The proposed locations are:

  1. Amberley Way/ Burleigh Way green;
  2. Cotswold View green;
  3.  Inglestone Road/ Sodbury Road verge (next to the horse trough planter);
  4. High Street (outside the Town Hall).

If you live immediately next to the proposed benches you will receive a paper copy of this survey through your letterbox. You may fill in either the electronic version OR the paper version (but just one please). If you don’t receive a paper copy, but would prefer one, please email clerk@wickwarparishcouncil.gov.uk.

The results of the consultation will be posted on this website and in the Parish News.
