Lest We Forget is a compilation of the stories of the men from Wickwar and Rangeworthy who made the ultimate sacrifice in the First World War.
The 109 page book was researched and compiled by local man Arthur Threlfall Searson, to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. It includes the men’s stories, extracts from original documents and photographs.
Yate and District Heritage Centre has printed 150 copies which are now available to purchase at £10 per copy. This project has been made possible by a small grant from Wickwar Parish Council. If there is sufficient demand, a second print run can be arranged.
How to buy your copy
1. Copies will be on sale at Wickwar Town Hall, High Street, Wickwar on the following dates:
- Wednesday 27th October 2pm – 3pm
- Tuesday 2nd November 2pm – 3pm & Wednesday 3rd November 7pm (before the Parish Council meeting)
- Tuesday 9th November 2pm – 3pm
- Tuesday 16th November 2pm – 3pm
2. Copies will be on sale at the Rangeworthy Book Swap on Fridays from 2.30pm – 4pm in the Lister Rooms, Rangeworthy Village Hall from Friday 29th October until Friday 19th November.
