From today, 2nd December 2020, South Gloucestershire has been placed in the TIER 3 Covid-19 alert level, which means very high alert.
This means:
- No household mixing indoors, the rule of six will apply in some outdoor spaces
- All hospitality must remain closed except for takeaway of delivery
- Indoor sport and exercise classes cannot take place
We know this is disappointing news for everyone especially in the lead up to Christmas when we want to see our family and friends, but it is more important than ever that we all follow the rules so we can move down a tier sooner.
The first review of which tier we are in will be on 16th December.
The King George V playing field, and the play area next to the pavilion remain open for all to enjoy. Wickwar Cemetery also remains open to the public. However, you must follow the government rules for exercising or visiting outdoor public spaces, which have relaxed following the second national lockdown.
You can exercise or visit outdoor public places with:
- the people you live with
- your support bubble
- in a group of up to six people not from your household/ support bubble
Please remember that the equipment in the play area is not sanitised and is used at your own risk. Please follow the hygiene and safety rules posted around the play area – keep two metres apart, wash hands, use hand sanitiser, no food or drink in the play area.
