Drainage improvement works update – B4509 The Downs, Wickwar –
From Monday 7th June traffic management for the drainage improvement works on B4509 The Downs will be carried out under a convoy system – the speed limit will be reduced 40mph and traffic can pass through the work zone at 10mph during operational hours between 7am and 4:30pm.
This method of traffic management means we can avoid a full road closure as far as possible and minimise disruption to local businesses and other traffic while we excavate the road to replace the drainage pipes that pass underneath. Temporary traffic signals will manage traffic passing through the work zone.
