Parishioners may be interested to hear of the daytime closure of Chase Lane from Monday 19th September for 5 days whilst overhead cable works take place. A map of the closure and diversion can be found below:

Notice is hereby given that the South Gloucestershire Council in pursuance of the provisions contained within the above Act will for a period of up to 5 Days commencing on 19th September 2022
prohibit ANY Vehicle, Pedestrian, Cyclist and Equestrian
proceeding along Chase Lane, Wickwar from its junction with Station Road for 1480m Eastward (0930-1530 only).
The above restriction is necessary because overhead cabling works are being executed on or near the carriageway consequent upon which is the need to avoid danger to road users, and the operatives engaged upon the works and serious damage to the road.

The Alternative Route for Vehicles is CHASE HILL / COTSWOLD WAY / HIGH STREET / KINGSWOOD ROAD / HILLESLEY ROAD / B4060 WICKWAR ROAD / STATION ROAD and Vice Versa
